Meet Dana

If you’re drawn to art that is both bold and elegant, you’ll find that here.

My larger-than-life floral oil paintings explore the balance between opposing forces: light and dark, softness and strength, beauty and imperfection. Each piece is created through layered processes that are both intentional and spontaneous, reflecting a visual and emotional complexity that unfolds over time.

Inspired by the landscapes of Hawaii and Washington State, I work with organic forms, layered mark-making, and thoughtful composition. The result is work with depth, movement, and presence, created to transform the spaces it inhabits.

I’ve guided thousands of students on their creative journeys, and after more than 25 years balancing studio practice with a career in art education, I am now fully focused on painting.
